MyMedTell - How It Works

MedTell aims to simplify the process of getting prescription medicines for patients. We have a documented procedure that allows you to get a prescription from a doctor online. Our step-by-step procedure requires your input and cooperation because doctors on MedTell can only provide prescriptions based on the health and medical information you share.

Our process involves the following steps:

Submitting health and disease information

The doctor reviewing your submitted information and prescribing medication to treat your ailment according to a specific treatment plan

Contacting your selected pharmacy and picking up the medication from them

Submitting Health and Disease Information

Our process requires patients to share their health and disease information with us. It allows doctors on our platform to assess your conditions and make an accurate prognosis accordingly. Please ensure that you provide accurate information about your symptoms because it'll affect the doctor's decision on the ideal treatment course for your ailment.

Payment

You can pay MedTell online. We accept various payment options, including credit and debit cards. Please note that our consultation fee doesn't include the cost of medication. Instead, it covers the physician prescribing your medicine's fee.

As a result, you'll still have to pay for your prescribed medicine at your selected pharmacy. You can do this out of pocket or via insurance.

How a Doctor on MedTell Prescribes Medicine

Once we've received your health and disease, doctors on our platform will assess your symptoms carefully before deciding upon the correct treatment process for your ailment. Then, they'll prescribe medication accordingly to help you. They'll also share a treatment summary with you via email.

Doctor's Shared Treatment Summary

The doctor's treatment summary will be shared with you via email. It'll summarize your symptoms and include the doctor's prognosis. In addition, the treatment summary will contain the medical prescription and your selected pharmacy's location.

Obtaining Your Prescription

Once a doctor on MedTell prescribes your medicine, we'll send it to your selected pharmacy. You can visit our website to find pharmacies near you. You'll receive an email once we've electronically delivered your prescription to your selected pharmacy. We recommend contacting your pharmacy within 30–60 minutes of receiving the email to ensure they hold your prescribed medicine for you rather than giving it to another customer. We also recommend you speak to the pharmacy's staff instead of using their automated system because it might not be up-to-date.

Ask the pharmacy staff for their name and enquire if the prescription is available. If the pharmacy didn't receive your prescription, email us at [email protected]. We'll resend a new prescription to the pharmacy. If your selected pharmacy doesn't have your prescribed medicine available, you can ask them to transfer your prescription to another pharmacy.

You can also ask the pharmacy to hold your medicine if you cannot pick it up timely. However, please note that different pharmacies might have different procedures, meaning some might not be willing to hold your order.

Patients who cannot afford the prescribed first-line medication or whose insurance doesn't cover it can also contact us for an alternative drug.
